Course Description: This course is designed for high -beginner students. It introduces grammar which enables students to express increasingly complex and nuanced ideas with regard to tense and mood. Dialogues, brief  readings, listening sections and written responses are employed for comprehensive skill acquisition.

Course Goal: Students will develop their competence in listening comprehension, oral response and
creating written sentences using cues.

Course Objective: Students will practice reading silently and aloud sentences and paragraphs illustrative
of several past tenses and  modal constructions.  They will also practice responding orally to grammatical cues.

Student Learning Outcome: Students will be able to express their ideas about their previous routines and habits.
They will also be able to discuss abilities in the present and past. Students will be able to speak using present, present continuous, past, past continuous and will be able to give advice and discuss obligations as well as ask for reasons to do certain things and provide the reasons why they do certain things. They will also explain their desires on what they would like to make short polite requests.
