Course Description: This course is designed for beginner students. It builds upon the most basic concepts
introduced in Initiations A &B and continues the development of a sound structural foundation in English. Dialogues, brief readings, listening sections and written responses are employed for comprehensive skill acquisition.
Course Goal: Students will develop their competence in attaining meaning from dialogues and reading sections that show in context increasingly more advanced verb tenses and parts of speech.
Course Objective: Students will practice listening to, performing and creating dialogues, and writing sentences with target grammatical structures.
Student Learning Outcome: Students will be able to communicate events using the past tense with expressions. Also they will be able to use tenses in the present and past and will be able to tell apart regular and irregular verbs in the past with their correct pronunciations and spellings.
