Motivations Course Description: This course is designed for beginner students. It builds upon the most basic concepts
introduced in Initiations A &B and continues the development of a sound structural foundation in English. Dialogues, brief  readings, listening sections and written responses are employed

for comprehensive skill acquisition.

Course Goal: Students will develop their competence in attaining meaning from dialogues and reading sections that show in context increasingly more advanced verb tenses and parts of speech.

Course Objective:  Students will practice listening to, performing and creating dialogues and writing  sentences with target grammatical structures.

Student Learning Outcome:  Students will be able to properly use prepositions according to social situations. They will be able to discuss points of reference and sequential events. They will also be able to converse using the future with either “Will” or “going to” and express future plans and past events. They will be able to write about their past summer activities.
